REPORT ON MASINDI OUTREACH (NYAMIGISA PRIMARY SCHOOL)
Background
This outreach program follows a review of Kristim Foundation's work that was spearheaded by our volunteer consultant, Mr. Ssenyojo Steven Kironde. The review led to a paradigm shift in the implementation plan, in order to make it possible to track progress, measure the impact created and ensure sustainability.
The current project focuses on long-term partnerships with the same communities as opposed to one-off outreach. Nyamigisa Girls Primary School in Masindi is one of the beneficiary schools under the new project.
Summary
The outreach program conducted by Kristim Foundation and Tambua Leadership Center at Nyamigisa Primary School in Masindi District focused on imparting soft skills to foster meaningful learning and providing scholastic materials to pupils in primary seven.
Soft Skills Training
As part of our partnership with Tambua Leadership Center, the learners were taken through a session of the Learning to Learn program. This is Tambua’s flagship program that enhances the academic performance of the learners. Learning to Learn is aimed at preparing the learners for their life long career choices by planning their academic life early enough.
Distribution of Scholastic Materials:
Exercise books and mathematical sets were distributed to 30 primary seven learners of Nyamigisa Girls Primary, in Masindi district
